The brake line failure has been known for some time. Aftermarket racing pads would but less demand on the hoses than stockers. That's why my car now wears a set of stainless braid lines on the front and Porterfield pads will be ordered soon for the race track.
Key is, anytime you will be pushing the car hard, like on a road course, you must do a thorough inspection, change fluids regularly, inspect again throughout the weekend, go home, inspect again. Did I mention to inspect thoroughly??
