Kidding aside- I plan on taking the Bullitt to the track and at least one event, a Cobra R made a 2 piece rotor out of what was one chunk.

Looking at the rotor, it -is- thinner at the hub. If Ford doesn't see this as an issue, then its time to look at aftermarket rotors.

I might take the dealer up on that upgrade.

The disk cracking failure might be stumped with 2 piece rotors. Some are using them now.

I may research it later when I warp my disks way too soon.

The brake line failure has been known for some time. Aftermarket racing pads would but less demand on the hoses than stockers. That's why my car now wears a set of stainless braid lines on the front and Porterfield pads will be ordered soon for the race track.

Key is, anytime you will be pushing the car hard, like on a road course, you must do a thorough inspection, change fluids regularly, inspect again throughout the weekend, go home, inspect again. Did I mention to inspect thoroughly??
