Mine has some kind of slight rattle when the engine is cold. It goes away as soon as the oil works its way through the engine. I am at 3600 miles. All my bucking and jumping off hills during the first few hundred miles probably loosened something up.
Being attached-to something that by its very nature gets blazin' hot (the cats) - I'd imagine that the shield's mounting would HAVE to be just a bit loose - otherwise expansion and contraction would break the mounting eventually.
That said, a loud, blatant "rattle" is something I'd prolly get fixed. A minor intermittent buzz when the car is cold is nothing, really.
