This has been posted on various Mustang sites before, any '99 or later model will do it.
Our digital odometers have a neat "easter egg" built in.
If you hold down the reset button as you start the car, it will display "test"
Release the button.
Press it a couple times. It goes through a couple tests where it sweeps the gauges and illuminates all the dash lights.
After a couple more times, it will say "Eng 0000"
Drive a bit. You'll notice it is giving you your speed in mph!
Hit it again, it says "M 0000" This is your speed in metric, or km/h
Then hit it again, and it will give you your digital tach readout!
There is a bunch of other stuff it displays as well. See this reference for more information: http://www.mustangworld.com/ourpics/News/99hec.htm
When you turn the car off and on, it goes back into "normal" mode. Its a pretty fun trick. Also useful to have your digital speed readout sometimes. You'll notice the analog speedo reads a mph or two faster than the digital speedo...
