</BLOCKQUOTE></FONT></TD></TR><TR><TD><HR></TD></TR></TABLE> I think I can speak for all us bullittheads, north and south of the border, when I say, the game we all saw today will stay with us for many years to come. The caliber of hockey, from both the U.S. team and the Canadian team was second to none,I am proud of that, for all hockey fans,be they American or Canadian. Truly a great day for the game of hockey!!!

What a game-I thought the USA could win this untill Sakic's goal. I'm so happy for Wayne because you guys south of the border can't imagine the presure he was on by the Canadian press-he okayed every member of Canada's team and a lot of media peaple seconded guessed him. I feel so lucky to have been born in 1963- I got to see the 2 greatest players ever-#99 and #4 Bobby Orr!!!!!!

Congratulations Canada. The better team definitely won. This game demonstrated what sets hockey players apart from the other professional athletes. Hockey players will give their heart and soul for the love of their country and the game.

The Canadian team out played the US team, just didn't let them on track. I thought the Team US A's passes were rushed and less accurate than Team Canada's.
Both are great teams, and I would love to see a series between them, 5 or 7 game.

We'll see about that! Detroit may be really good, but in a 7 game series, againsit another good team... we'll see!

What a game! Brodeur's save on Hull in the third period with his pad at the post was the play of the game. If he doesn't stop that, it is 3-3 and who knows what could have happened. I think in the age of overpaid athletes, this game and the tournament showed these guys doing it for the love of the game and country. It was great showing the world that the hockey power still resides in North America! Congrats to Canada!

The family and I just got back from the Dominican Republic. Lucky for us "the Game" was playing on a large screen in a sports bar in the resort we were at. The bar was packed to the rafters with screaming Canucks. What an experience....lots of suds, lots of goals and no damn shoot outs, and a gold medal to top it off. I damn near lost my voice singing the national anthem. I said to my son, 50 years from now you can tell your grandkids you were in a bar in Puerto Plata when Canada won the gold.
PS. GO LEAFS GO ! this has just got to be the year!

Good Lord!! I didn't know Curtis was out with an injury. I might have to eat my comment about the Leafs going the distance this year. I don't think Schwab is the man to get the job done....what do you think Karl? Cujo has always been a great goalie in the playoff run. Just look what they did to the Sens last year...and the year before...

If the Leafs can make it into the playoff, and Curtis is back, they may have a good shot at it. He'll be well rested, which is good for a playoff run!
I don't get much info on the Leafs out in Boise. I can get into the "SUN" site so get some.

We have a team that's in the WCHL http://www.wchl.com/ , The Idaho Steelheads,

, and they're doing really well again this years.

How does someone from Boise Idaho become a Leaf fan? Are you a transplanted Canadian who just kept up with the long suffering Leafs or did you aquire the taste for Canada's "National Team"?

Smiths Falls pop 9000, which is a big hockey town, is situated about halfway between Ottawa and Kingston. Major tourist draws are the Rideau River System that runs from Ottawa to Kingston through Smiths Falls and the Hershey Chocolate Plant. As for me I working on my 24th year as a Paramedic with the ambulance serivce in town. We handle about 7000 calls per year. As well my wife and I own a floral and gift shop. After 17 years of station wagons and vans it was time for some fun. I lucked into buying my Bullitt last March. Last sports car I owned was a 79 Turbo Capri.
