I have owned three LT1 six speed Camaro's. 1993,1994,1995 One of them had the 1LE option(the 1995). Also one automatic Z28 coupe,(bought in 96 after I hit a deer in the 95 1LE). One 1994 automatic Z28 convertible (bought used in 1998) and also one 2000 model Z28 SS with an LS1 and 6 speed. This car had the most horrible rattling t-tops I have ever heard. I traded it in on a Mustang Vert after three weeks.

Prior to getting the Bullitt, I had a 2000 Corvette Coupe (LS1). That car rocked but the payments were killing me ($48,000).

I had an '84 Z28 and discovered an oil leak the first week! Turned out the back of the block was cracked and they had to change the whole engine! Haven't liked chevys since. Plus they are a couple hundred pounds heavier than the bullitt. Thus the added HPs!

I owned a 1999 Corvette Hardtop with the 345 HP LS1 engine. Great car but did not have the retro or collectable appeal that the Bullitt has. That is why the Hardtop was traded for the Bullitt at the local Ford dealership.

To Bullittoid: Your 95 Impala is an incredible car. Too bad the new Impala is not comparable.

My brother and I each bought brand new 1971 Camaro Z28's with the 330 horse LT1 engine and I had mine for about 2 years. Boy, would I love to have that car back now. It was fun to drive but sure didn't match up to the fun of driving the Bullitt. Won't make the same mistake by selling the Bullitt.

Yeah, although mine was the family truckster for the boys and spent quite a bit of time hauling them to hockey. It isn't as cherry as I would like it to be (or as cherry as I will keep the Bullitt).

Still a lot of fun for such a big ride.

And yes, I am no fan of the new Impala

Mike

We bought a '94 Z28 for my youngest son about a year ago after we lost our restored '68 firebird. It is very fast and is more like the old muscle cars, rough ride and brash handling - all testosterone. I love to drive it once in a while.
