I went to a local aftermarket specialist in my area to find out about hoods and louvers. The hoods they suggested were Cervini (which I don't like the looks of) and another company. The MRT hood was not one that they would warranty, because they don't deal with that company normally. I like the look of that MRT hood and the SVT or Boy Racer Extractor hoods. All of these are fiberglass...which I guess in the past has had issues. So how many of us Bullitt owners have the MRT hood and have any of you had any issues? Thanks for the input!

Thanks Gregg,

I had read most of that thread. I'll go through it again to see if there was information that answers my questions.

I'm really looking to see if there is anyone that has the MRT hood and how happy the are with it.

I have that hood on mine. Over all I like it very well. I really like the turn signals built in to it. The downside is it rubs on the strut brace. They say the factory hood does the same but since it has the blanket on it you don't notice it. It's not bad enough to make me want to change it out though.

Can you attach the stock blanket to the hood?

i attended the 45th and saw several of the mrt hoods that were installed there. Of the 5 or 6 i saw, none of them fit right. the gaps were uneven, the strut tower brace rubbed on the hood, and one guy even had to shim his fender for it to fit. A lot of money for low quality in my opinion.

Every one likes the Ghost flames, I get compliments all the time. The hood fit perfect with out any adjustments. You can not put the blanket on the hood. It is designed for the Bullitt and has the seal for the cold air intake built in to it. Yes it does rub the strut brace. Probably about 8 inch scratch under the hood. MRT sent a piece of clear vinyl to put on the brace to try and help out. Don't know that it helps, but it does protect the brace. I have added a piece of soft foam where the hood hits and covered it with a Ford Racing decal. Seems to be holding up so far.
