It's a quarter to eleven on Monday morning and I just got back from running errands. The stuff was too much for my trunk, so I had several sacks sitting in my passenger floor board. Well, USUALLY everything I get goes in the trunk and I get it out when I get home, no biggie. Well, today, since I had that stuff on the passenger side, I had that door unlocked too. Once I unloaded everything and had it in the house....I opened the garage door and stepped out just enough, with keyless entry in hand, and hit the lock button twice, in a row, to lock both doors....in doing so, I got the light flash and horn honk.....how COOL!! I had NO idea our Bullitts did this!! When I bought my Dodge Avenger ES back in 1996, it came with an owner's maunal that said the "lock" on the keyless entry would "chirp the horn/flash the lights" when done...mine never did and now I wonder.....is it because I never did hit "lock" twice in a row?? Hmmmm, too late now it's sold.

But, how COOL!!! I love this feature...ok, shoot me, I'm a girl and it's NEATO MESQUITO!!!!! I'm thrilled...made my "bad" day shopping a "good" day!

Is this in the owner's manual? Also, who else knew this and didn't disclose it?? LMAO!! I've always seen those fancy cars and big SUV's that people would lock and I'd hear the "chirp" of the horn and I'd be like, "that is cool, I want that".

 Hey, it's a small thing, but it made this gal happy!

Yeah, I noticed it the first day I had my Bullitt! (j/k) I think all Fords do this.

My WS6 beeps the horn twice and lights up all over the inside and outside! Real cool effect!

Man that MUST have been a bad day shopping.
I better not say anything about any prior knowledge of the double lock feature.

Well.....hmmmm, looks like I have to say:

at least I was the only one WILLING to say I didn't know about this feature......LMAO!!

 Regardless, I love it! OK, any more neat features you all "know" about, but aren't going to say you know about them until somebody else says something???? Come on, give it up!

My '94 Cobra did this stuff, too. I expected the Bullitt did it. I use it to confirm that my car is properly locked everytime. If someone is watching you, they might think your car is armed for an alarm.

NOW, try hitting it twice with your door open and see what happens.

My kid loves the red button. What a racket!

Hey,

Don't feel bad if you didn't know about that. I'll admit that I did know, but I'll make another confession. This is the first car I've ever had WITH remote keyless entry! I am such an auto-heathen...

I'm with you Dona, didn't learn about the horn until I had it for a month. My two year old son was playing with my keys and voila, a NEW feature.

Did not know about the time on the radio. Thats cool.

As for the windshield wipers. A sore topic with me. When I wash the car I put the wipers full up. For some stupid reason I never remember to let them down BEFORE opening the hood. Well, the scratch is hardly noticible, but gets bigger every time I do it.

NOTE TO SELF: DO <blink>NOT</blink> OPEN THE FREAKIN HOOD UNTIL THE DAMN WIPERS ARE DOWN.

Confession time?

I almost poked my freeking eye out when those
wipers were up many times.

Backed out of the garage with the Battery
Tender still hooked up. (no damage)

Forgot to remove rear chocks when TRYING to
come down off Rhino ramps. (no damage)

Maybe we should start a "stupid Bullitt tricks" topic.

I found out about the wiper-lock when I was washing my car this weekend...I was trying to put the wipers down and it would stop about 2 inches above the windshield. I was like, WTF!?!? I finally figured it out.
