I'm starting my own hockey team for the 'Fall League' here in Ann Arbor. I need help designing a Logo for the team. I have no skills with Adobe Illustrator or Correl Draw. I'm basically terrible at this sort of stuff.

The company I'm going with for our jerseys requires a 'vector form' of art work with either Adobe Illustrator or Correl Draw.

.
.
Requirements from Vendor:

- Correl Draw 9, or older version

- Vector design with SOLID COLORS ONLY (fountain & gradient fills will not work)

.
.
.
.
.
Team Name: Ann Arbor Mojo ...... or just...... Mojo
.
.
.
.
Here are some examples of cool hockey crests/logos. I like these 'shells' for a design. Or, If someone has a different Logo idea/design I am WIDE OPEN for suggestions.

Some cool designs are listed below:

Very much appreciated for any help or advice!!!!!!!!!!

Dale, how about a variation of Nike's Mojo logo?

I think this was their original design of a few years ago. Plus orange and green for a hockey uniform would be unique in a nerdy sort of way... :nerd:

Or you can do a variation of this rock group's logo:

Trying to come up with some inspiration...

Mojo is a term commonly encountered in the African-American folk belief called hoodoo. A mojo is a small bag, a type of magic charm, often of red flannel cloth and tied with a drawstring, containing botanical, zoological, and/or mineral curios, petition papers, and the like. It is typically worn under clothing.

Mojos are made for all sorts of purposes, many of them documented in blues music.

1. the art or practice of casting magic spells; magic; voodoo.
2. an object, as an amulet or charm, that is believed to carry a magic spell.
[Origin: 1925–30, Americanism; cf. Gullah moco witchcraft, magic, prob. akin to Fulani moco'o medicine man (c represents voiced palatal stop)]

A magic charm or spell.
An amulet, often a small flannel bag containing one or more magic items, worn by adherents of hoodoo or voodoo.
Personal magnetism; charm.

Definition: a Cuban seasoning of garlic, olive oil, and sour (Seville) oranges used as a dip, marinade, or sauce
Etymology: Span. mojar 'make wet'

1920s, probably of Creole origin, cf. Gullah moco "witchcraft," Fula moco'o "medicine man.

I threw together a rough idea.. messed with Ilustrator a bit. The goalie "mask" would look cool as wood as well, but that increases color count (is this going to be a silkscreen?)
