And all I can say is Mike and Joyce did unbeliveably alsome job, that little coupe is one of the finest restorations I've seen....

I wonder what the MCA Judges at the Oklahoma City MCA Nationals thought??????

Hi Jimmy,
It was great to see you and Kay again.
Thanks for the nice words about INDY.
Congrats on your win - very well deserved and keeps the Bullitt pride high.

The judges liked INDY too. Only four points deducted! Brought home the Gold!

Thanks for asking.
Mike restored this car last year.
It's our first (probably last) attempt at a concours restoration.
But the car is historic and deserves to be preserved as it was.

Thanks for your nice comments.

I'm not really sure where exactly we lost all four points. But the judge did make a big deal about the fact we have am aftermarket trunk latch. I also know our tire valve stems aren't correct.
There are some engine compartment components that are the wrong color too, but I think he just wrote an advisory for those and didn't deduct points.

In MCA Concours each car starts with 700 points and you get different deductions for different areas. To receive Gold you have to have a total of 97% of the points, which means you only lose 21 points before dropping to silver. The first show last Fall in Las Vegas was just days/hours from it's restoration. It really wasn't even done. But it lost 26 points and won a Silver. At that time we were just wanting the judges to look it over and weren't even hoping for a win. So that was a pleasant surprise.
We have several other Mustangs that are built and driven the way we want. So keeping this a trailered non-driven car isn't a big deal.
