A thread I just posted to got me to thinking. I truly enjoy #5998, but if a some Saudi sheik just had to have my car, and offered any car in trade, what would it take? 1969 Boss 429, any color, but black or red would be my favorite.

You guys must be reading my mind. Check out this month's Hemmings Muscle Cars. Your Cougar is the featured on the cover, 4 speed, grabber orange and all. And it sat on the dealer's lot from late 69 until early 71.

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 1001 hp 7 gears. I believe the list price is 1.3 mil. I would then quickly sell the thing buy another Bullitt and get that super snake and pay off the mortgage on the house and still have about 700,000 left to play with.Would get two Bullitts one bone stock and one modded to the hilt supercharger, built engine, suspension you name it.I would then only have $600,000 to play with well I can dream can't I.

I guess I'd have to trade for this:

<a href="http://s698.photobucket.com/albums/vv341/RedHawk145/Cars/?action=view&current=2009ConquestKnightXV1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv341/RedHawk145/Cars/2009ConquestKnightXV1.jpg" border="0" alt="Konquest"></a>

Times are tough and I live too close to the border with Mexico!

Hmmm, good question.

so many cars I'd love to own, but which one(s) would do it for me???

Well, to keep the list short:

Aston Martin DB9 (or maybe a DBRS9)
1961 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa
'65 GT350R
'65 Shelby Daytona Coupe
Porsche 959 (or maybe to a lesser degree, a Carrera GT)

Give those 5, and you can have #1980...

Ok, ok, I admit it, any 1 of them would likely do it for me...

Interesting herd of rides being assembled here. But a 72 Torino? Is somebody dealing with a Starsky and Hutch withdrawal here? A Torino is on my list, but it's a 69 Talladega.

If the '11 mustang has the 400 hp 5.0 coyote motor that its rumored to have, I may be driving my Bullitt to the local Ford dealer to have a talk with the "boys".
By then, hopefully they will change the taillights.

Well I was thinking more a long the lines of the 510 H/P Roush P51 Mustang.

I have watched many videos of it and that thing is Awesome and the Sound from it is Terrific !!!

It is just way past my Dollars ..........

Another Mustang that I looked at back in 1969-1970 ? was the 429 Cubic Inch Boss.

Major Big-Ole-Engine from wheel to wheel well under the hood.

Last one for me was a 1969 426 Street Hemi Road Runner .........

Man that was so Cool looking when you raised the Hood........

Plus they NOT a 40 Anniv. of the Bullitt Steve McQueen drove in 1968.

But they do have what I like !!!!!!!

Big Engines !!!!!!

A lot of those Horses ..........
