Other than the clutch pedal immobiliser, does our cars have any other form of immobiliser, i.e. modern cars have a immobiliser chip in the key head.

Yes. Uses Ford's PATS system. If you look at the back of the key, it should have a rectangular cover for the chip that is inside.

Arr, found it on the head of the key, on the narrow edge where the key ring loops through.

UK insurance company was asking. Does this get rated for insurance? In the UK Thatcham test and rate security systems and wondered if there was something similar in the US I could refer them too?

Not sure. I get a discount with Progressive for a thaft system, if it helps.
