I'm getting a Check Engine Light and a P2020 Error which looks like the Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor. Anyone have any experience with this? Is it usually just the actuator failing, or do the CMCV's get damaged/jammed? Reaching back while the engine is off the actuators don't feel jammed.
One of my concerns is I live in California so I need to pass smog every other year. I've heard people who run into this issue go with CMCV deletes and retune the engine, but how will that affect my ability to pass smog? If the intake needs to be removed anyway, seems like that would be a equal or lesser cost option with the side benefit of avoiding this problem in the future and leaving the door open for upgrades in the future, but my concern would be if it impacts my ability to pass smog.
Reading this TSB (http://www.stangpit.com/wp-content/images/docs/s197-tsb/06-7-10.pdf) it sounds like its about 2 hours of labor and a $200 part, is that an overly optimistic estimate?
