I got my Bullitt back today. The work, though mostly done due to some error from the adjuster's part, is incredible. New front fender, door, and the job on the rear quarter panel is immaculate. I can't even tell where the damage was! But it better be good for 2k plus.

Saddly, it feels different. Though the car still feels fine in the straightaways and turns, the brakes... ugh. They seem to wanna lock up almost instantly, especially when I downshift into 2nd or 1st. The handling feels a bit loose and lately, I've noticed, the car feels weaker.

I've shrugged off the possibility that I'm very accustomed to the car and its present day powerband. But I don't know.... It doesn't pull nearly as hard as it used to. Maybe its the tires...

I really can't figure out the brakes. The rotors aren't warped or the brakes worn out as the rotors are in great shape.. though still glazed...

I guess it'll have to go back to the shop.

Give it a week or two. Right now you are going to be more critical of the car just because of the work that was done to it.

Take care.

Update:

Had a mechanic friend of mine drive it because of the brakes. He said the brakes were fine but that I should invest in a more performance oriented brake setup like cross drilled and slotted rotors with slow wear brake pads. So that's ok.

It good to hear that it all came out ok. I too do the same, when ever I get something back from the shop I always feel like something is just not the same. But thats the way things go.

I don't know myself but I've been told slotted is fine but drilled crack and then chip between the holes. Like I said that is just hear say not experience. To up grade you would probably need to go to baer or brembo 4 piston calipers. I don't see the needed put do what ever makes you fill comfortable in the car. As for the power loss my friend lost power on his BULLITT and brought it to the dealer where I work. The tech and I took it and the tech's 01 GT out and GT pulled it! BAD! He reprogramed the processor(flashed) and tuned on the thortle position sensor. We went out again and I walked the GT. It seemed to give alot more power. Good Luck

I think tbstangs has it right. Often the shop will reset the computer and it may take a few days to relearn its parameters. If it does not get back to normal after a week, I would take it back to the shop and ask for a reflash.
