Waited most of the day for UPS to deliver my JLT CAI kit,they are 80 miles East of me.
Kit delivered.....open box check all the parts....everything seems to look good....
BUT, when I go to mount the Bullitt MAF unit,it is swallowed by the WRONG rubber 90 degree elbow. They shipped a plain 4 1/2 inch elbow,instead of the correct reducer...4.5 to 3.5.
So now I can only wait till they ship out the correct part,which will arrive at 1:45 PM tomorrow.
I asked her if she would mind hopping in their little truck and just drive it down,couple hours round trip....HA! No such luck. Hey,I'll buy you dinner! Please!!

that just sucks when you get stuck with wrong or bad parts...just seems to be more common than not anymore....and most common with you!

Well atleast that big Bullitt green 4 1/2 inch pipe looks good hooked to the throttle body and into the fender.
I wonder wonder IF the rubber adapter boot will rub the hood?
It does look good though!
You know,I looking over at my lathe,and thinking ADAPTOR!!

I have the JLT, installed last year with the MPH build.
The manifold boot does rub on my hood....
I wasn't sure whether that was becuase it was pushed up a tad
due to clearance issues with the Team Breed Alum valve covers...guess not.
The zero clearance/rubbing on the valve cover however I figure is ultimately
gonna cause me problems however...possibly wearing a hole in the pipe.
Course....no vibration in 3230 right now! lol

come up with.....

Do you still have the hood pad installed? Mine is removed. Hope it doesn't rub the underhood paint too much.

The MAIN reason you would never see a blower on this car! I just don't have that much faith in the aftermarket,for something that critical and exspensive!
But sure...it would work for someone else.

yup....hood pad still installed....just rubs on that a tad, but not deep. So, without the pad, I'm sure there would be tons of clearance

Well,I talked to the owner,he said,out of all the prepackaged Bullitt CAI boxes,I lucked out and got the one with the wrong piece. The others were correct.
But,all is OK now. Correct rubber elbow arrived a short while ago,and the install is almost done.
Taking a humidity break right now,it's right steamy in the shop today....90+ with high humidity!

It's still there. Just trying something different and it could give me a chance to improve the design of my air collector pan.
The scoop will still allow cooler air to flow around the intake.
