So my girlfriend noticed that I'm always borrowing my dad's jack and Jacks tans when I work on my Bullitt and thought getting me my own would be an excellent Christmas present.

Could you guys recommend any Jacks and/or jack stands that are inexpensive and good for working on out Bullitts. My 08 is the stock height now, but I may drop it an inch at some point, so I'll need a jack that's going to be able to operate on a slightly lowered Bullitt.

What should I suggest?

I'll second HF for these items. You have to be careful what you get from them, but I've had really good luck with both of these. I use mine often, never had an issue.

Here is the one I bought from Harbor Freight:

http://www.harborfreight.com/2-ton-...vy-duty-floor-jack-with-rapid-pump-68050.html

It reaches quite deep and super low profile.

I have the aluminum racing jack to start the car and then use the one listed to raise it up high.

Sears had a super deal on jackstands. Real beefy high ones 2 for 29.95. Don't know if it is still available. They are high enough to do headers and transmission.

I actually have 2 sets of jack stands. One set is the regular cheap car jack stands. The other set is the truck & SUV jack stands which are heavier, taller, and wider than the car jack stands. I actually use those more than the others. It really depends on how high you want/need to get the car.

While you are getting them, I highly suggest you consider getting two sets of Jack Stands. This will give you the option of lifting all four corners. The first time you need to do that you will easily justify the extra expense.

:D I bought 2 sets from Lowes on sale a couple of years back. Nice and heavy . Sears 3 ton jack as I have heavier vehicles to lift. Pieces of 2by10?boards make good risers!!

Good old southern way, made these from a header beam that was left over from a house build. Adjustable, but take a little longer and don't have to worry about slipping off.

:D Chuck you are uptown!! You have a rug for a creeper. I just use cardboard. I have some ramps made out of old 2x12 deck step boards and blocks are cutoff posts(4x6) from my shop building. I thought those quickjack lifts were pretty KOOL!!
