I just installed the magna flow x w/cats and borla catback system...the sound is ok..not as loud as I would like it to be..but its still not broken in..the feel is great...the smell is not so great...how long is this smell supposed to last for?? also one thing to note about the borla catback if anyone is looking into buying it..the piping is stated to be 2.5 inches but in reality its only 2.25...when assembling it..the pipe that fits into the other pipe before the actual muffler..the outer pipe is 2.5 but the inner one is 2.25..the guy that installed it is a mustang expert..does all of the work for galpin ford...he said the piping inside the borla muffler is also 2.25..he recommended changing to the XR1 muffler and also changing the inner pipe that is 2.25 sometime down the line so we get 2.5 all the way through...and he said that the stock exhaust is the same as the gt..same mufflers..i thought they were arvin mufflers or something like that..but he is the expert.. He is working on a side exhaust system that he will sell to dyno max sometime in the near future..his shop is called royal mufflers located in chatsworth..I recommend his work to anyone in the southern california area..

Definitely disconnect your battery. That should take care of any problems you might be having.
The smell will go away within a week, probably a lot sooner depending on how much you're driving.
