I put a K & N air filter on my BULLITT when i had it dynoed i did'nt even gain 1 hp. So if some of you Guys/Girls go out and buy a K & N air filter thinking this is a MOD it's NOT. I read alot of sig that list it as a MOD (not just on this site) all over the net. I think the K & N is a GREAT air filter and is well worth the money. But it ain't no MOD.
I love seeing the TV commercials promising big hp gain.

That is strange,as some dyno test have shown about 1-3 HP gain on other Stangs. But then who knows!

Yes your right but most dyno pulls have a 1 to 3 hp differance anyway. I'm just saying the K & N should not qualify as a MOD.

Hi Ray,

I put a Holly on mine (same as K&N They actually claim 10% better than K&N) I did not change it so much for increased HP comparing new paper to new K&N, but instead what the numbers show for a dirty K&N filter compared to mildly dirty paper.

Living here in AZ the amount of dust is unbeliveable. So with both filters being new I don't expect much but if we were to compare a paper with 10,000 miles and a K&N with 10,000 is where I am hoping that I am making it worth the expense.

The K & N is ideal for your needs in AZ. The money you spent is well worth it!

If you make any change from stock it is a mod. Even if you put a rear spoiler (uuhgggg) on it, it is a mod.

My bad, I guess my car has no mods then! I'll be sure to change my signature pronto!

I'm sorry if i have insulted anyone that has K & N listed in there sig.

I'm not bashing you guys/girls that have K & N listed i'm bashing K & N ONLY. I mentioned K & N in the sig because K & N is getting credit as a HP gain not as just a very good air filter.
