I put a Holly on mine (same as K&N They actually claim 10% better than K&N) I did not change it so much for increased HP comparing new paper to new K&N, but instead what the numbers show for a dirty K&N filter compared to mildly dirty paper.
Living here in AZ the amount of dust is unbeliveable. So with both filters being new I don't expect much but if we were to compare a paper with 10,000 miles and a K&N with 10,000 is where I am hoping that I am making it worth the expense.
