At which connection is it leaking? I am assuming at the point where the muffler bolts to the catalyst. If installing a different system just make certain it is round and not bent where they mate. If it is bent modify to be as round as possible. Also, Walker makes an exhaust sealer for these type of connections, worked for me.

From the underside of the car, with the headpipe off, thread a nut onto the stud coming out of the drivers side manifold. Then thread another one against the first. Using a wrench you can now use the first one to back the stud out of the manifold....the second nut will keep the first one from backing off. Go easy....don't try to horse it off. YOu definitely don't want to break the stud off. You ccan use some penetrating oil if necessary. Once you get the two studs out you can either replace them or grind the spacer off with a bench grinder, then reinstall.

I just put some vise grips on the end of it and backed it out... no biggy takes like 10 minutes... I am not sure of the replacemnt size.. I think it is 10 MM ... make sure you get the bolts that do not rust.. stainless steal I think....
