Mach 1 shaker setup...

Hey guys I am in the process of buying a mach 1 hood and complete shaker setup and need some input from some of u thats done this.. how hard is it to get the shaker mounted to the 2v motor and if anyone has picts of what they had to do it would b very helful.. thanks...:smile:

you really need the CDC base for the shaker for it to fit properly (the shaker scoop comes off the base). the base of the Mach 1 shaker hits the Bullitt intake and will not sit down correctly in alignment with the opening in the hood. the brackets CDC has and their base make it a simple install. the other problem will be if you use the CDC base, then the tube between the base and the filter shield is also a different shape as is the filter shield opening for the CDC tube. thus you would also need the CDC tube. you can cut the stock bullitt filter shield to fit the CDC tube and then you are set. if you haven't bought it yet, I would just get the hood and get the whole shaker setup from CDC for it. I can give you some tips on how to mount it even better than they did.
I'm still looking for an OEM hood dangit. lol

Thanks for the info about cdc I looked at there setup but I dont c where u can buy the parts seperate.. also I cant pass up the shaker system Im getting everything plus the hood is 550.00... Also do u have picts that u can post up of your setup or can u email them to me at [email protected]... Thanks frankenstang for your input...:smile:

I'd call them (CDC) and ask, also there was a bullitthead on here that had added the cdc shaker to his hood, and if I remember he was talking about changing it out. might want to see if you can see and get his.

Can you use that se up with the standard bonnet vent?
if you mean the does the opening in the Mach 1 hood fit, yes it does.
thanks to those that sent and posted the picts... I am probally going to go this route and try to get my car done for the 09 shootout....
