I'm just wandering if anyone has the Magnflow X-pipe w/ cats on thier Bullitt. If so, how do you like it? Is there a drastic change in sound? I am getting mine installed next week and I want to make sure I'm getting the right X-pipe.

Bullitt#3796...
I have the Magnaflow X-Pipe with Cats and the matching Magnaflow CatBack (Magnaflow Mufflers) installed on my Bullitt. I love the sound of it. Slightly higher in pitch but much throatier. Not obnoxiously loud at idle or cruising but it really gets attention when you nail the throttle. SOTP tells me it pulls much harder from 3500 RPM up. I'll have dyno results after tomorrow and I'll post them alongside my stock baseline dyno results.

Hope this helps.

I did see a Dyno result on a 2001 GT with the Magnaflow X-pipe and Catback system. It showed a gain of 21 rear wheel horsepower. That is awesome, but most people I see hve Bassani. I just want to make sure I don't make the wrong mistake.

Here's the info I said I'd give you:
Baseline data is in normal print; data after mods is data in parentheses. BULLITT #680 had 1525 miles for the baseline dyno and was completely stock as it came from the factory except for a fresh oil and filter (MotorCraft 5W-20) change the evening before. The dyno after mods was done at the 5121 mile mark. As you can see there was a significant difference in the conditions under which the testing was done. I don’t know how this may have affected the results but it would seem to me that the cold bearings of the dyno might have resulted in more resistance to the drums rolling than when the first test was done. My test was the first run of the day and the temperature in the shop was not much warmer than the air intake temperature.

Anyway; as you can see from the results, Bullitt #680 has picked up nearly 8 RWHP Average and the Average RWT has also increased by nearly 10 ft-lbs. The torque peak is pretty monstrous for the limited mods; 293.7 ft-lbs RWT. The RWHP peak of 242.5 I can live with given the great torque numbers.

Next week the Custom Chip from JMS Chips goes in. And YES…I will do another dyno after the chip is in.
