Well I've finally been able to get up these pics from the freindly confines of my hotel room. I met up with SteveBullitt, N8TR, Bullitt369 and Keith (Sorry I can't remember your screen name at the moment  )
Anyhow.. after a little mis-direction by my map program I arrived at the Speedway about 30 mins late. Steve and Fred (Bullitt369) were already waiting there for me. We waited a bit for the others then decided to get a few pics before we lost the light.

Anyhow.. N8TR arrived a little bit after that in a white minivan. his Bullitt was back at home and we all went into the track to watch the action and I was going to make a run. The wait was pretty signifigant and not moving too well and this is where Keith showed up and joined me in the line to make a run.
Well we were finally able to get in and the track was pretty slick (Seems like I hear this often). I left the line at 1800 and floored it.. I spun through 2nd shifted at 5400 and actually spun 3rd.
Anyhow I cut a 2.33 60 ft (ick) and made the 1/4 at 14.4 at 98.9.. I did completely smoke the Pontiac sunfire they lined up next to me. I had wanted to run the GT I had been in line next to the whole time but they had someone do a solo run and threw that plan all to hell.
Keith made 2 runs and I believe his times were similar and he bested a 5.0 SN95 Cobra vert on his last run.
It was great to meet the Florida Bullittheads and they were all a bunch of great guys! Thanx for the posters and the Space shuttle pics and stuff Fred! You guys were great.. Maybe we can do this again when I come down for my next class!!

Hi Steve,
Great pics. Can you send me the pics on my e mail? I'de like to put on floppy and keep with me if I need them. Did you see me and Steve standing at the fence next to the starting line on your run? I should have made a run with you. Frame those Shuttle pics when you get back home!
I want to be made a MEGA please!!!!!!lol
When I get a few more items together from the Shuttle program, I'll send them to you if you want. Miller poster babe is pretty cool....enjoy!

Steve(Blakwing), Nate(N8TR),
It was really great to meet some other Bullittheads. Nice pics. We didn't realize how long the wait was going to be for the runs. It was so cool to finally see a Bullitt make a pass. Hope we can get together again next time you are in town.

Keith,
Sorry we didn't get a Chance to meet you. Let Fred and myself know the next time you head to Speed World.

That's ok  Not a very memorable screen name anyway. Great meeting you and N8tr.I didn't realize SteveBullitt and Fred weren't gonna stick around, I would have gotten over to see you guys if I had know you were taking off early. I was running really late and didn't get to the track until 8:30. I'm glad I got to run, the times were much improved over the first outing. Trap speeds still seem too low. The 14.37 pass was only 96.29 MPH.

Keith,
Fred and myself parked on the tower side and watched. While we were waiting for you all to show up, a friend of mine pulled in and said he was going to watch from there. I had never been to Speed World before and didn't know the lay of the land and how easy or hard it would be to find you all after we had split.
Anyway, look forward to meeting you in the near future.

Darn! I couldn't be down for this meet. However, I'm being transferred to Orlando in mid-October. Means I can drive my Bullitt all year round and not have to worry about snow.

Looking forward to when the next meet is set up.:-B

hey guys, the pics look great.its a shame we couldn't get some pics of the honda mini van!!!!!lol. anyway, i have some bad news. i lost second gear in #3049 last night. its too early to tell what is up but the gear is definitely not there. man did i ever cringe my teeth. dealer says it may be the linkage but i'm not sure. feels like second is stripped all to hell. looks like i'll have to stick with 1-3 shifts for a bit!

I'd have to agree about the linkage possibility. If you stripped second all those fun little metal bits would chew through the rest of the tranny as well. I detonated 3rd in my Escort and in the 6 miles to get to the shop it lost 2nd and 5th as well. Icky nasty times. Good thing it's still under warranty!

Good Luck!!

Beautiful pics. This week I'll finally have some of #3055 to post. If I sell the 89GT this week a supercharger might find a new home under 3055's hood.

369... To save any pics, just right-click on them and "Save as", then you got them on your puter.

i heard that. actually, by the time i got to the house, i had a little trouble with first. i grinded a little going into gear from a stop. i hope this tranny is not really this weak. maybe it will be a fluke. i'd hate to put a new trans in every 2000 miles

Well I'm over 7200 with mine right now and I'm not what you'd (or anyone else for that matter) describe as a "Gentle" driver. Laying rubber in 2nd is just way too much fun. I haven't had a single problem yet. So hopefully this is just an isolated problem and can be corrected with a new tranny.

Damn N8tr.... after hearing about your tranny, the various minor cosmetic issues I am still working on with #2964 seem minor. So, is it sitting over at Sheehy or do you still have it?

Mostly minor paint stuff. Some fool over there got a little happy with the buffer on the hood and left a real nice swirl mark. I'm not quite sure how I missed it prior to delivery. The body shop has taken one whack at it and there is some debate as to whether or not they can fix it without repainting the hood. Stay tuned for more detail on that. They also managed to take a chuck out of the paint on the corner of the trunk and there are minor chips along both doors. These paint issues all seem to be dealer inflicted.

I also have a dimpled C-pillar that they are going to replace under warranty as soon as they can get the part.

I have my 1000 mile "check up" next week and I am going to make them put it up on a lift so I can check the tranny bolts and such. I also want someone to take a look at the rear suspension as it feels really sloppy taking a corner at a relatively normal rate of speed. Did you feel that the rear end on yours was loose or sloppy before 2nd gear when AWOL?
