What's than mean, Arthur, just something to put over an existing sticker?
That won't help the folks whose numbers are already wiped away!

Exactly! I just posted a discussion under "Mechanical Issues" yesterday. Mine is damaged now. I don't want to cover up a sticker that doesn't look right.
Who's to say that the chemicals used in the adhesive won't deteriorate the ink anyway. I just don't understand why something that is important as this (to us owners) is to use a band-aid solution to fix this problem. I'm a computer engineer and, over the years, I've found that band-aid solutions NEVER hold up. Sometimes you've got to face-up to the time and effort a real fix will take - and do it!
In the long run only a different designed badge/emblem/sticker will fix this. In the short run (like until the warranty expires) will a cheap cover fix this. Have they heard of engine heat? How can a sticker over a sticker ever stand up over time?
I think we all should concentrate our efforts on letting Ford know WE WANT THIS FIXED! I've been told that Art Hyde's e-mail is
[email protected] I say we all begin letting him know how we feel - I am.
