Chose to go to Orlando last night with the Nittos on the car. I really wasn't expecting any great 60' with the brand new tires. And after watching some other cars run and spin their ass off, I knew I wouldn't get one. But I figured a 2.15 would buy me a 13 second run. Afterall, last month I ran a 14.02 with a 2.20 60'. It was cool like before, but a little damp.

No way would a 2.15 have done it! I managed a 2.07 60' spinning and managed to pull off a 13.992 @ 99.91 MPH. Any worse 60' would not have gotten the job done.

I just can't figure out the much better 60', but the only slightly better ET. The car did stumble going into 2nd, but I figured, if anything, it helped to reduce spinning. One thing I will say is, I like the Nittos. Even though they spun, the car still moved while spinning.

Once these Nittos get warn in they hook up awesome. I borrowed a used set when my Bullitt had 150 MILES on it. I heated them up real nice came out about 3500 to 4000 rpms you could here the back tires bark out of the hole.Thats funny man I also ran a best of 14.02 on the Goodyears.

01, did you go with the stock sizes, or did you go wider? My best so far is 14.85, but I only ran it once at the strip. I plan on getting Nittos when I wear out the Goodyears, so I wondered about the size issue. I know JB Vobra is using 275's on Cobra R rims, but I would like to use the stock rims, if possible.

I bought a pair of 17X9 Bullitt replicas to put the 275/40/17 Nittos on. I have seen several cars with the 275 on and 8 inch wheel, so it will work. I just chose to go with a 9 inch wheel.

The rims look great on your car. Congrates on your 13.99 run. I know you could of done better if the track was in better shape.
time to go to a new track or just give up dragracing (for me anyway).
see ya
