guys I just got back from the world of wheels in chicago. there was a 99 aniv gt with 275 nitto on back of the stock 17 x 8 rims. I was wondering if we went with the 17 x 9 bullitt replicas could we fit the 315/35/17 555r tires? I saw a 97 cobra with 315 on 17 x 9 rims in 5.0 magizine. would this work or what.

On a 9" rim would be pushing it. Nitto's website recommends 10.5 - 12.0 so you can expect a decent sidewall bulge on a tire that width. I am running 285/35/18's on a 9" wide rim and they bulge out a little but don't look goofy. 315mm wide probably would.

According to DOT standards 315's require atleast a 10" rim. Just food for thought.
