I myself want the MRT hood and am saving up for it now. You could always wait and see if they lower the price of the hood. But in my opinion the MRT is the best looking hood on the market for our car.

true, I wish they came pre painted, there is only 2 colors lol!

It would cost even more to paint it, and properly ship it/ insure it to get it to you. Best to leave it unpainted from there warehouse.

I was thinking of getting a better looking hood was thinking about this one, in black to match my car:

What do you guys think?
I would like the MRT-direct hood, with the built in turn signals, but they want 700  plus shipping
Hello Andrew,
I have to vote for the MRT....yeah, a bit costly, but it DOES look like it belongs...the pic below is Karen's Bullitt, with a photochop of the hood on. The grille and turn marker mods are already on, and I have painted mirror covers, as well as the SilverHorseRacing louvers on order, and I am very impatiently awaiting their arrival....Next year, I must finish the job with this hood.....

I am normally a die-hard purist when it comes to special edition Mustangs (check out my mod(s) below). But, the MRT looks B1TCH1N' and I may go for it myself in a year or so. The $700 is a big nut, but I would start saving up for it now. Maybe it will come down in price after awhile (with the recession and all). Don't settle for something you're not 100 percent sure about. I have owned two 1968 Mustangs (HT & FB) in the past and the "built in turn signals" were cool.

you don't want it pre-painted, even if it arrived unscathed, it most likely wouldn't be a great match with your car.
