Hey Guys,

Just converted over to Ford from chubby opps, I mean chevy about a year ago when I sold my 99 SS and bought my little racer.

I went looking for something to drive when she is down and being worked on, I made a wrong turn and wound up at a different dealership than I was suppose to be at. I told the guy I wanted to drive a 01 GT Manual. He told me he didn't have one and ask me if I was interested in a used car. I told hime NO but, he just had to show the car he was talking about.

There she sat a BLACK BULLITT, w/2463 miles on her. The older couple that org. bought her traded her in on a Sporttrac. He collects older stangs (69,70 Mach1,01 DHG Bullitt ) and bought for her But, she really didn't like to drive her so traded they did the day before I got her.

One test drive and thats all she took. I really enjoyed the the suspension felt as apposed to the SS. Took the wife back the next morning, (Saturday) 3 hours later I was driving away for 23K and 6%, nothing down. That was about 3.5 weeks ago and 600 miles (roughly). I don't drive her that much. I would like to know more about her other than the normal stuff. I don't have the Mach 460, just tape and CD, I would like to make sure I didn't get taken.

Is there a place I can send in my VIN and get all the Info, build date and so on ? Sorry this is so long I just don't really know to much info about the Fords yet. I would really appreciate all info.

Thanks,Kevin

Welcome aboard. Where in NC? I'm currently in Fayetteville.
This group will teach you a lot about your car. According to the board...the build sheet is located between the rear bumper and the bumper cover. I never located mine, but yours might still have it there with the low milage. Good luck. You paid a fair price from what I;ve seen on the board...also, yours is the first I've heard of w/o the Mach 460 sound system.

If you are at Fayetteville via MI, chances are you are Army? Air Force?

I'm stationed at Pope, don't drive 1987 as a daily driver, but if your are nearby email me back using my home address ([email protected]) and we'll get together at lunchtime...maybe even snap a digital picture of the 2 cars for the website!

Hey guys, I've been here since Sept. and no Mach 460. Just the 80 watt 4-speaker system with one nice exhaust note. Look at my post under the thread for Bob Bondurant's Bullitt for sale and you will see my stereo system.

I too traded a '99 Camaro SS for my Bullitt. I couldn't stand the skip shift on the 6 speed tranny, the suspension creaking every time I rolled over the speed bumps at the Price Chopper and the general feeling that I needed to get rid of the thing before the warranty expired (it was always at the Chevy dealer for repairs on defects). I worried at first that I would be giving up too much horsepower, but after driving the Bullitt vs owning an LS1 for nearly 3 years, I honestly feel that the GM motor, while strong, is very overrated. JMHO. Welcome!
