Band of Brother footage...Easy Company taking out German 105's that were shelling our boys coming ashore on D-day. Brecourt Manor.

Yes, Don Malarkey actually did go for a Luger that wasn't. Asked recently what the hell he was thinking, he replied: "I wasn't".

Cindy & I feel lucky to know the guy...not Scott Grimes portraying him here, but the real Don Malarkey. Don saw more days in combat than any other member of Easy Co. How? He was never seriously wounded.

Great video...Back then, I really wanted a 'vette, but never got one. Then in '66, the siren call of Porsche came along. The Bullitt is my first american "toy" car when the P-car affair ended in '07. Somehow, I doubt the Bullitt will be running 42 years from now.

I attended the '57 Boy Scout Jamboree, held at Valley Forge. One of our side tours was the Ford plant. Yep, I actually saw a '57 T bird with the porthole hardtop rolling down the line...

Still, even those of us not old enough to drive knew that the 283 horsepower fuel injected 'Vette was "da bomb" of that year!
