Late 40s or early 50s general motors 1 1/2 ton truck. One shifter for transmission. Second one is for the shaft operated 2 speed rear end. Can't give a specific year.

A friend of mine back in the dark ages (1967) had a 1967 bronze Dodge R/T 440 with a Crane cam and auto. That thing would flat fly!!!!! Every Friday night a Camaro with a 396 375 hp 4 speed would want to run. Second and third gear on that R/T was BAAAAAAD!! Camaro never did beat that R/T that I know of.

Didn't Fords have a 239 OHV V-8 in 1951? Or was that 1952 when they introduced the OHV V-8? My grandad had a 1953 Ford Ranchwagon I think, but it was a six cylinder.

What was the first year of the Baracuda? I remember a guy up the road had a black, I believe Formula S 273 4bbl 4speed, with red or blue line tires. Another friend had a 1967 Dodge R/T 440 auto with a Crane cam! Son that sucker would FLLLLLY! Dallas Jones who operates Beech Bend Park in Bowling Green Ky bought the old "Color Me Gone" black 64 drag car and raced it for awhile. Great memories guys, just great!!

That 56 Merc doesn't even exist in Kentucky as back in the 60's one of our illustrious govenors "cleaned" up our beautiful Kentucky landscape! CRUSHED every car within sight of any main road! Sad, so many wonderful cars of the 50's and 60's were lost!
