Thinking back, I wonder if there were any raving beauties in my high school. Some were pretty, for sure. But Raving beauty? Probably not. The one raving beauty I can think of that was born in this town didn't graduate High School here...that would be Janet Canoy, aka Jo Collins. She's getting close to Raquel's current age now. Beauty fades...sure does.

Pearl found a SIM card (I think that's what it's called) and I downloaded it into the computer to see what was on it. It had all kinds of stuff. Videos of our old dog, "Rocky." Videos of the crew putting the new roof on the house. And several of my "recording sessions" from the past. One of them was "Sandy" and I listened to all seven takes. Turns out, the next to the last take was actually better than the one I decided to put on YouTube. It's a complex song with a lot of off-the-wall chords and my old fingers were having a time grabbing all the right ones at the right time. But, the second to last attempt had only one small mistake toward the end, whereas the former one had several. Sooooo, I deleted the old one and replaced it with this one. To me, it's smoother, my singing is better and, thank God, I'm not wearing that ugly "Hawaiian" shirt. (btw, that shirt was Pearl's idea)... See what you think. --JB

Gee, you'd think that maybe our Veteran friends would be so lucky and be gifted with like accommodations, perhaps because they've actually earned it. Hmm.....

Gee, you'd think that maybe our Veteran friends would be so lucky and be gifted with like accommodations, perhaps because they've actually earned it. Hmm.....

I can't be too rough on the VA because they've compensated me well for my personal suffering. But, it's a crying shame how they treat vets who've gone astray and hopped aboard that "long black train." They need therapy, rehabilitation, job training and a warm bed to sleep in while they recover. But yeah, those poor guys (and gals) are somehow not worthy of help, but the dregs of society from everywhere on Earth? Come on in! Makes me mad enough to spit!
