When I press in the clutch to change gears my engine hesitates for a few seconds before it revs down. Should it.

Not to worry I think they are designed to do it. The delay helps keep the revs up a little when down shifting as well as up shifting.

That is what I wondered, but when I talked to my father-in-law he said that he doubted it. He is a ford mustang fanatic so I took his word.

Thanks

5111, this "RPM hang" is normal behavior. If you get a Superchip it will eliminate the RPM "hang" when shifting.

Yep, it's programmed in by Ford for emissions and ABS power.
