I had to take my 37' winnabego in (Ford V10) for the cruise control recall, and in the showroom was a brand new 08 dhg Bullitt. I think I druled over it for several minutes. That was the first one I have seen up close and I like. But they want 31,000 for after a 3,500 rebait. Not that I'm traiding in my 01 but it is temting if I could aford it.Anyways just thought I'd give my 2 cents on the new B.   I did have a question for those of you that own both 01 and 08/09 B's.Do they have the same exsaust note. Just curious Darin

Good thing you carried it in for the recall. Mine (5.4L V8 ) went out and fried all of the wires and electrical components around that area. Also put a nice burn mark on the brake fluid resovoir. And the car had been parked for several hours when it happened.

That Bullitt was way over priced. I picked my 09 up for $28k after discounts.

the recall on ford cruise control is a serious problem, I had a 94 f150 burn to the ground while parked in my driveway. It was locked with the key in side and had been parked for 48 hours when the fire started, I was at work, just lucky the truck was in the driveway rather than in the garage where it should have been, my son had driven it last and parked in the wrong place.

I can tell you that you can buy a black Bullitt at the Ford dealership in Banbridge, GA, for 27K. The dealer called me last week. Same dealer told me there are a ton of Bullitts at dealers in the central Florida area and they are wanting to deal.

That would really suck with a 37' motorhome. By the way was there a recall on the Bullitts.

No recall for the 01 that I am aware of, and the 08/09 Bullitts were built after the issue had a solution, so I would believe that they were taken care of before being built.

The issue as I recall is a TI manufactured solid state switch that does not always shut off. It only has to stay on once and your car is a fire hazard. I have a 94 F-150 and it was recalled. Two Escorts that were built after the recall was started never were recalled, and FoMoCo advised they were good to go with the cruise control they had. Both of those cars died some time later from high mileage/worn out engines, btw.
