Anyone have one on with stock cat back. I am looking at the MAC off road H. Anyone have any info on this.

I put on my bassani X w/o Cats and it sounded bad.

any fumes with the H pipe.

Hey Doug I'm still using the stock cat back with my long tubes and shorty h-pipe and I have never noticed/smelled any fumes.

When I had my gutted cats on,you would notice fumes mostly during cold start up.The cats job is to reburn theexhaust by-products. You should stand behind my 85 LX. With it's hotter cam and carburation,it will tear your eyes when first started!!!

Doug somehow you missed my previously stated mods, in any case I have the BBK exhaust system. As for sound, no I don't have a wave file but I can say that it's just a bit louder than stock and even more so while accelerating.

Doug, now you got me worried. I have a slightly used Bassini X with cats being shipped to me and you say it sounds bad with the stock catback. Not what I wanted to hear. When you say bad please elaborate. Thanks.

Sorry to get you worried... I think if you have cats you will be fine. OR so I have heard. With a chamber muffler the Bassani X w/o cats sounds really mettalicy and bad. But with cats I think you will be ok.

H pipe's just go better with a baffled muffler, except for some x pipe where the x is cinfigured differently. THe Bassani x like a stright through muffler, like magnaflows. Unfortunatley the dealer want my maganflows of my 2000GT I trade in.
