Anybody believe in oil additives? Duralube ?, Prolong ?, Slick 50?. Good or bad for the engine ?

Snake oil, every one of the ones you cited. Stay away from the additives. Most contain PTFE (teflon), and they will clog up the engine. Stick with a good grade of 5W-20 or 5W-30 synthetic and change the oil and filter every 3K-5K as recommended.

Like Dave said: don't use them. They either have no effect, or negative effects. There is no evidence that they have positive effects. Do a little internet searching (anecdotal evidence (testimonials) does not count).

Put your money into a higher quality oil and use it as it was engineered and designed: unmodified.

What brand of oil filter do you guys recommend.I'am switching to Mobil 1 5w30 (syn) and i want to use a good guality filter.

The Motorcraft is a good filter.
