Okay everyone, it's approaching that time again - Open track Weekend with the COCOA-OC and LA at Willow Springs International Raceway! Time to put the Bullitt on the track and see what you can do. And do it safely. You need a helmet (no word yet on whether it has to be SA2015), and a fire extinguisher mounted in the car with a metal bracket.

Fall is here and that means it’s time to get ready for another Lynn Park Open Track weekend at Willow Springs International Raceway. This year, the event will be held on Saturday 10/28/17 and Sunday 10/29/17 but most participants will arrive sometime during the day on the Friday before to get settled in early. If you have any questions, please contact Lynn Park at 818-790-0427.

Here are some of the event details:

This isn’t a race and there aren’t any awards. We go to have a fun and safe weekend with our cars!
Entry fee per car for the entire weekend is $200
Cars will be teched at the track, but make sure your car is ready before you come out
Mandatory driver’s meeting on Saturday morning at 9 AM
Special hotel rates at the Oxford Suites in Lancaster if you mention the Cobra Owners Club

It's because most of the cars are 60's vintage Shelby's. They've considered doing away with the requirement on the modern cars but haven't yet. Most of us buy or make a bracket that attaches to the front seat rails.

Are spectators allowed? What would that cost?

Spectators are encouraged. It's $10 at the gate per person. And for that you can get in the pit area, look at the cars, and roam around the outside of the track pretty much to your heart's content. There's a diner for lunch and restrooms. Make sure to bring water though.

I see you have me listed, I'm running a Vette on the 22nd, Lynn told me he has to see if the field is full before they will ok a non Ford. I am not sure if I'll even enter as two weekends in a row is kind of expensive. I will be out Saturday regardless I was told some Corvette Challenge cars are running the Streets same weekend so I will stop by for sure.

Well making progress!!! But not enough to make it this weekend Will miss the 6am meet up...looking forward to the May 6am meet up! Also need L&R HID head light housings...have the electronics just need the housings.
