5135 was purchased from Tropical Ford on 10/01/01.....

Went to Greenway (much closer to my house) but they would not budge on my trade in. Considering I purchased my last 2 vehicles from there, I thought customer loyalty meant something to them. They didn't think the same way.....

It's a good thing you didn't get your's from Greenway anyway----My brother-in-law got $2000 more for his trade in at Sunstate (compared to Greenway) when he got a new escape.---I also know three other people with problems with them too----but I guess you'll find that just about anywhere. Greenway is close to me too, but I just knew I'd be wasting my time.---Plus, the dealer stickers on the cars are really easy to get off---Greenway has thet plastic thing glued on it, which makes it that much more difficult.

When I went to the dealership I was looking for a regular "stripped" GT, but all i could find were automatics at the time---so they gave me a very good deal on my trade (ZX2), which i got from there in 1998. They also came down on the price a little and with the 0% financing---heck---I couldn't refuse!!!

How many miles do you have on yours? Any probs?

I have just under 2K miles on my baby, loving every one of them.
I didn't really go out looking for a Bullitt....I mean I had seen them on the lots and absolutely loved them, but was really looking for a GT with a 5-speed. Thank god there were none to be found and I started looking seriously at the Bullitt. Once I decided I wanted it, there was no stopping me....A-Plan and 0% financing made it a non brainer. The only variable in the equation was my trade-in (a pristine 95 GT vert). Well, the used cart market is in the toilet right now, so I can't really complain about what I got for it. Tropical gave me exactly what Greenway offerred. The problem I had with Greenway was the fact that I had spent 30K there the past 2 years and I wanted them to bend a little. They didn't and I said goodbye.
Looking back at it now it is kinda funny....the salesman really wanted me to have the car. He told me to take it home and show the wife (overnight). I wound up putting about 100 miles on this brand new Bullitt and didn't purchase from them. I would have, but didn't like their attitude, only the car.

Hey I got mine from Greenway Ford ~ waaaay less than happy with them !! In fact they're kinda givin me the short end of the stick - when I took delivery of my bullitt it was NOT the same car I made the deal on the day before - I had to come back to put some money down - anyway the car (a) wasn't and hadn't been cleaned - (b) within an hour of having the car (about the time I got home from the dealership) I noticed the rocker trim just behind the drivers side front wheel was BROKEN !! someone had apparently backed over a curb or something and cracked it almost all the way through !! so 2 days later I find myself driving another hour to the dealership to try and get it fixed, well now they can't fix it cause I possibly could have done it - come on !! and the best part is that on my way to the dealership I had to stop and get gas ...well low and behold I'm standing in just the right light to see this big a$$ swirl mark on my trunk lid where someone TRIED to buff out 3 scratches !!! so I go to the dealership - point out all the things that need to be fixed - well at first the guy seemed real cool about it - "yes sir, no problem we'll get that taken care of right away" so I leave him my car and sit around the dealership for 2 HOURS thinking this whole time - WOW !! they're fixing my car - SUPER !! well 2 hours later, not so much, NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING !! didn't even clean it !! WTF ?? then the story changes ...."well the guy who handles the delivery of the cars is not here so we're not sure if it is the dealership who has to cover it or the delivery people, come back next week sometime before 4" - so now I have 4 HOURS into this trip - an hour there, 2 hours wasting my life, and an hour back - well I haven't been back as I was so disgusted with their "customer service" or rather lack there of - now that I think about it I am just as mad !!! maybe I will go back just to yell @ them and make a BIG scene !! anyway the moral of the story is STAY AWAY FROM GREENWAY !!!!

I have just a little over 3K miles on it, had it about a month and a half - Tri-Ax and Densecharger installed the 2nd week I had it ! Both work great and the intake really makes it sound MEAN! Next I think I will do a chip or the Ford Racing driveshaft

Damn Joe....sorry to hear about your luck.
It reaffirms the impressions I have of Greenway...they will kiss your a$$ to make the sale, but once the sale is complete they couldn't care less.
I am VERY happy with Tropical Ford...every time I go back there my salesman gets me a full tank of gas, offerred free oil changes (no thanks I use synthetic, well how about your wife's car?)
I get the impression that Tropical is run by a "car guy". They seem to be more serious about performance and realize a car is a lot more than "just transportation" to a lot of people (especially the kind of people who would purchase a Bullitt, like us!)

I haven't been out to the speedway yet. I saw another post where a few of the guys were out there. Maybe we can all meet out there sometime.

I sure hope that if something needs fixing on my car Don Reid will take care of it without any problems. I hate having to deal with service departments.

Bought my car at Dowling Ford, Cheshire, CT in May. Payed $500 over dealer invoice and NO processing fees. TRailered and registered the car in FL.

I've been getting it serviced at Tropical Ford. Like for location and response of service personnel - they call me after servicing to followup on my visit.

Hope to meet up with all of you at some point. :-B

I bought mine at Sunstate on Sept 21. I was forced to buy it when they crammed down my throat the zero financing. I have had nothing but good service so far. Need to take it in for some paint flaking soon - I'll let you all know.

Anyone have the extended service plan - any feelings about it? I'm thinking about getting it.

I have a green bullitt #03457. I live on the west side near Ocoee. Where do you all range?

Ok---3457
Just saw your posting on another topic. I live over on the east side. A relative of mine bought a 2001 Escape from Sunstate and have been really happy.
I hear you on that 0% financing---that and the good trade in forced me to get it.

Got mine at Gary Yoeman's in Daytona, soo far soo good. Had to have acouple of minot items looked and even without an appointment they took mi in, had to come back, but they called me on the cell to let me know to come back, 30 minutes later all done. It is a long ride to Daytona but well worth the good service that they provide.

5127,
I also live in east Orlando in Waterford Lakes, how bout you?

It is upsetting to me to hear all these horror stories about various dealerships mistreating customers.
My experiance has been nothing but delightful. I purchased the only Bullitt to pass through the Prestige Ford dealership in Mt.Dora, FL.Every time I go back there I am treated like royalty. This is my second mustang, I also have a 68 convertible. This Bullitt however has stollen my heart. What fun!!!! I enjoy driving this thing. I believe they will definitely hold there value.

Sunstate Ford has treated me great. Ian Riding kept in contact with me via email while I waited for the Bullitts and even kept me updated after I told him that I wasn't going to buy. When he sent the 0 interest email I bought it the next day. Had it in once for a loose ground and was treated awesome. I have to take it in again for some paint flaking but expect top treatment. Ford quality has shown itself to me in the best light. Unfortunately, there are dealerships that are just turnover businesses and couldn't care less about customers and that casts a dark shadow greater than the upbeat experiences. Greenway Ford is a dealership that I have yet to here a good comment about. Do not buy a car from them.
