This may be a stupid question but does anyone know the actual serial # or order # for the DHG color paint? I am taking #3918 to the body shop soon and I want to be able to give him this number so he dont try to make his own "DHG". I am really nervous about the paint not matching. Thanks...

"PY" (me) uses PX and it matches perfectly.
Part number ALBZ-19500-6920A. (at least I
think that's the part number)

Don't worry, the paint code is on your car. The Body shop will decode it and then get the color that matches . What may be different is if it's PPG, or Dupont or another Brand.

Take care.

Anybody know the paint code for True Blue? The car is several hundred miles away and I'd like to have a bottle of touch-up paint to clean house when I pick it up...

The paint code is on a tag on the driver's
door body-pillar.(below the door striker) On the bottom of the tag, is the code. The words "exterior paint" are abrevreated
"ext pnt". Next to this is a two-letter code.
Hope this helps,
Bob

DITTO to what Bud and Bob say And if you want to feel assured that you will get a good job done Talk to the Body shop manager and ask him or her about the number of years experiance the painter [if there is more than one employed] and see who has the most experiance. BEWARE of of paint flop . That is when you stand at one angle and the color looks great perfect match BUT then you take a couple of steps to the right or left and the color changes its tone , either lighter or darker. The formula is a mix of special [mixing colors] that make up the overall color. The 2 most important things to do for painting a car is getting the right mix of mixing colors and applying the paint at the right air pressure. And that is where experiance comes in . Any body can paint a car. But can they get the right mix? Is the formula the right formula from the factory ? Do they know how to tweek the formula with mixing colors to get the right color ? and can they spray that paint so that it flows out and lays down like it did from the factory ? That is all learned from experiance . So check those experiance years of the techs that work there . And if you decide to go there and they do the work and you get it back . Then look at it from all angles and then ask yourself the final question Does it match to your satisfaction ? So there you have my 2 cents worth. Good luck
