Just got off the phone with a tech from Pauls. What they are doing is putting all the stuff the bullitt comes with on a 2002 Mustang Gt. Then they are going to port the intake and rework some other parts of the car to get it to run better. He also informed me the springs rates we currently have on the Bullitts are very good they are about what they sell for big $$. He says the car will be ready by summer.

that's basically what he did with his 96 to 98 Cobra upgrade package.
more air, smoother intake (to the cylinder head) and a chip programmed for his upgrades.
added 40 HP (peak) to a standard 96 thru 98 Cobra!
(Nomad is also saying that the suspension upgrades we got from the factory are very good "as is",..especially compared to a stock GT. unless you plan to do a lot of rallying or racing,.....it's best you leave it alone!....no charge for the "interpretation Nomad!!-LOL)

Here we go. I've been waiting for this for a while. Did they give you an estimate of time. Sounds like were looking at a couple of months if they're just now talking about a test car.

Sorry, Nomad, I am just trying to get to 100 posts....:-B Seriously, I am not that familiar with what Paul has done in the past and I had heard in the forum that he would be coming up with some "package" for the Bullitt. I just didn't know exactly what you meant in relation to what Paul may be offering. I did understand what you posted about the spring rates, thanks! Now, if I could only remember my name.........

Thanks Bro, Its a 2002 yellow GT thats getting all the Bullitt stuff the car should be available by the first of the summer to do the magazines and press stuff. Its look like they used the regular GT to gain business on all mustang owners. This way GT owners can have Bullitt performance, and they can make plenty of business. They will probably do a excange deal with people with bullitt intakes like we send them are stock intakes and they will send the ported ones.

I have been waiting for this magical Paul'sHP kit for over 4 months. Now the only news is that PHP is going to put the stock Bullitt stuff on a stock GT and then start making further modifications then come up with a package for us Bullitt owners! Sounds like more than a few months away to me.. more like a winter project after next year's racing season.

How about a date? Hell even if PHP said they would have a stageI kit by October I might continue waiting.

I know Paul's is supposed to be the end all gods of mustang performance, but I think I will stop waiting for divine intervention and start practicing a little voodoo..

So he is going to port our intake. Whoo! That is... common, isn't it? It seems like porting an intake should be relatively easy to do, and I don't see why it would take that long. Especially for someone like Paul. Any idea what the "rework some other parts" would entail?

When I last spoke to Paul he said that the time consumption was in making sure that what he did was repeatable. As for why it's taking so long he mentioned it was due to other cars and Ford projects that he is working on added to the race season. So I would say yes he is busy. However, judging from the work and results gained on the pre-99 Cobra intake I'm confident that what ever he does will end up being worth the wait.

As far as springs go the Bullitt springs work as well as any aftermarkets. They do not slam the car so normal driving isn't a problem. I installed a set on my wifes V-6 and improved the handling 200% for a lot less than others!
