Performance Chips

Hello Folks,

Did anyone install a Performcance chip in their Bullitt. I am looking at Cortex for $449. If you did, what settings did you use and how much horsepower might I expect to gain. Thanks

Hey Mike,
I've been on these boards for awhile now and alot of people here have different opinions here on this issue. To me is not worth the $449 for the horsepower you will get from the chip. I've thought of doing it to,but after reading posts on this issue I decided it was better to put a performance exhaust system,under drive pullies, performance air cleaner and rear gears to get me more horse power. But like I said,thats my opinion about the chip.Im sure others will have their opinions as well here. Good luck on your choice.

Personally I have no specific experience on this car with the Cortex programmer from SuperChips. That said I'd likely stay far away from this solution! In my opinion I'd prefer loading tunes that were specifically written for the car and not designed to work on Mustangs, Exploders, Rangers, F-Series pickups, etc.
