Well, this is not actually my creation. I bought all of the Bullitt images taken by the track photographer on the cherry picker, then jazzed this one up just a bit.

My photos from this year's Nats don't have the same impact at those from SF but I will again mail a CD to all who want one. If you receive one, I ask for a little help in making copies and sending CDs to your friends.

I will include this full-size image too.

WHAT A GREAT TIME AT NATS ... AGAIN! THE BULLITTHEADS, THE CARS, THE TRACKS, THE FOOD!

And now the saddest car of all, that 57 Plymouth burried on the courthouse lawn since June of 1957. I think everyone in Tulsa was hoping for something better.

Dennis and I managed to get in the back door of the Tulsa Civic Center just as the car was being loaded up to be taken to a Plymouth dealer for further display. It had been on display at a downtown car show since it was dug up a few days earlier.

The "vault" in which it was burried filled with water over the fifty years. Apparently the car is not restorable.

Ouch!

They should find another one as a base machine, and yank everything useable off this one, and restore the new base. Then display it.. improvise, overcome! :)

I found these at burried car.com

Two more photos of the 57 Plymouth: Engine ... Interior ... I think unrestorable (or not restorable) is probably a good bet.

Looks like the battery was left connected 50 years ago.

Hey! That's a great job, Jeff and Dave. I'm way worse at names than that, but I got this one, my wife's name is Melodee!
