Haven't heard anything from mine. I am going though fluid however. I was under the car this weekend and unable to find a leak???
Where's it going???
Sometimes, the inner tie rod end seals on the rack will leak. The boot that is around the tie rod shaft will trap the leaked out fluid from dripping onto the ground. The way to check this is to release the small spring clamp from the boot near the outer tie rod end, and push the boot towards the rack. If there is fluid inside the boot it will leak out. As far as the noisy power steering pump, they shouldn't be loud. Take it back to the dealership, and use that warranty!
