Happened Sunday. Pro 5.0 driver Steve Grebeck,was killed when car went of of control down track,colliding with another car. Anything can happen with the best cars at these speeds. Read it on Corral.net.

Several people from our club, Modern Mustangs of Jacksonville, were in Orlando at the track when it happened. The word is that there were gusty headwind conditions. Hindsight is that the event should have been stopped well before the accident.

Pro 5.0 made the choice not to run early Saturday during qualification because of strong head winds. Ironically, I believe Steve tested the track on a solo blast that day, and soon after Pro 5.0 ran. Winds on Sunday were not as steady, but probably more gusty. One minute it would be relatively calm and the next very windy.
