Bullittoid, it sounds like you and I have a few minor problems with our cars! Our dealer has sent in a few pictures of our instrument cluster cover (plastic) trying to show the scratches on it. They don't seem to show up on pics. We said to take it outside and look and take pics and the light has to hit it just right to see the bad scratches buy the trip meter! We think we will have to get a whole new instrument cluster!

We had the dealership yesterday buff (try to) out some scratches on the hood. It is the second time and hubby is VERY upset today that they are still there and thinks that if they buff any more it will take off the clearcoat and down to the paint. We found MORE scratches as we looked her over more carefully. We are wondering now, if they should just get a whole new hood or paint it when the paint comes in?

He is at the body shop now seeing when they can sdjust the rocker panel on passenger side. Then over to muffler shop to see about the tips. Thanks, Nasty Bob, for the info on the welding of the aluminum tips! appreciate that!

How many other people think that the blue tire caps are tacky? We are going to get some chrome ones real soon! Even the dice ones would look better than those off-blue ones! LOL

UPDATE: Ford OK'd new instrument panel cluster for the scratched one! yeah! Going to just deal with the scratches on hood (minor). Got exhaust tips done and rocker panel.

I am up early today on my day off as I am taking Bullitte back into Ford this morning for them to clean off the compound mess that they left all over my baby! Hubby is pretty irate over it (he washed her the night before he took her in to have the buffing done)so I am taking her in instead. There is compound ALL OVER the hood-in the seam- and in the honeycomb in the scoop, and on windshield--well, you name it! It wasn't that they were in a hurry either as he left it down there for hours!

Then while I am down there I will point out the uneven dash on the passenger side and the bolt showing above the C-pillar on passenger side. It is at the top of the window at the seam. It doesn't meet at the seam-there is a gap there, unlike on the driver's side.
