Nope...the Pro-charger is actually cheaper than the Vortec..and they have a 3 year warranty..seeing this...Vortec started offering a 3 year warranty. Procharger is in a lawsuit against Vortech for disputing Procharger's claim of additional hp with an aftercooler..not sure what the hp claim was...but if you look at the models available now fro Vortec...I beleive you will see an aftercooler model...hehe. Odd...no why would they do that?....hmmmmmmm

Anyway....I got a killer mod that is in the developement stage....secret at this time...I'll keep you posted when more concrete info comes available....Muhahahahaa!!!

John

P.S.
Don't know how this happened...but this was supposed to be a reply to Bullitt Procharger Supercharger...oh well..

I have looked around and have not found one for a Bullitt. Did the article mention one?

My opinion, and just mine from engine building expierence,I don't care for any of the blowers, unless the bottom end has been built for it. I mean with those fragile pistons, pins, and connecting rods,it is just a matter of time before it blows. That's why Ford went to all the beefing on the 03 Cobra.

WHHOOOOOO. Hold up.
Vortech offered a 3 year long before Procharger. Now Paxton has one also. Standard for both companies, no addtional cost. O ya and it's Vortech not Vortec, that's Chevy motors. Another thing, Vortech filed a lawsuit and then Procharger filed a countersuit. As far as cooling goes, yes we offer one, but it is a far superior air/water and it is not a neccessity. Our blowers have the highest adiabatic efficiency on the market. This means less heat, no need for a cooler. Sorry to sound rude, but I don't like it when people post false info.

Hey Forced,

What's the problem? Ok, I mispelled your product name...this is a friendly forum and I was just relaying what I have read. I don't care for spell check as long as my message is understood..which it seemed to be.

Granted, you don't need the aftercooler, right...but it does add more horsepower, that you can't dispute...well maybe you can. It's of little consequence to me either way. I am not going to supercharge my car anyway, and if I did...it wouldn't be a Vortech (that better?) As for the lawsuits...I don't care who sues who for what, and who had a warranty first. I go with my instinct on a product and what info I can find out..and I think my initial one was correct. Procharger would be my weapon of choice if I were to go SC. But I have something far better and less expensive in the works. Don't ask me what...cause until it's done...my little secret. Nope..not telling ya..nope no way..hehe.

Take Care,
John

Are you even familiar with the twin screw offered by Kenne Bell? Yes, you have to replace the intake not give it up though. And if your quest is for power than who cares if you give up the intake. If you really research the difference between positive displacement and a centrifugal you may rethink your position. I mentioned the Kenne Bell so it is an option to be considered, anyone looking to SC needs to take into consideraion not only the product brand and warranty but ultimately what end result do you want. For me the twin srew will offer all the power I could ever use and it is there and I mean there right when you want it. As mentioned in the editorial article in MM&FF on the positive displacement SC's it is the most effective weapon for the street. How many times on the street do you have the opportunity to run through the gears? Hardly ever unless entering the highway. The best thing about a positive displacement SC is that the boost is there almost immediately and not at the top end of the rev range as it is on the centrifugals. I want to be able to stab the throttle and bring out the rear end with predictable power and than let up go and crush another gear. Don't get me wrong the centrufals are awesome but for the street I am going with the Kenne Bell. JMHO

Seems like if you're a Bullitt owner, the intake issue is one of the things in favor of the Kenne-Bell unit. As much in demand as Bullitt intakes are among us GT owners, you have the option of bankrolling a large part of your supercharger installation through the sale of the original intake.

You should be able to find them in the $3200-3300 range without the aftercooler.

I had a Vortech S-trim on my 98 Cobra for three years, not one single problem. No aftercooler, no intercooler, stock headers, bassani catted mid X, 38lb injs, prom77, 4" powerpipe, and an autologic wideband tune:

460.6rwhp on 9 psi, 11 second capable street daily driver in hot, humid Houston Tx

That's alot of beans my friends for a completely reliable, smog legal vehicle.

Ummmm...I would think you care about promoting your companies product a bit more...but that is only an assumption, anyway why wouldn't I care about putting out correct information? I just replied with what I read...if my source was incorrect, don't yell at me for it...gezz.

I still think the Procharger would be the better route...really...how much difference is there between Vortch and Procharger, as far as performance goes? Not that much I would guess....I would go with the cheaper.

Hey Jedi, with all due respect, what was your source? It sounds to me like Forced is just trying to correct misinformation and you are busting his chops over it. He even appologized in his first post if he came across rude... what gives?
