Heard a rumour today at work that the Bullitt production could be less than anticipated, possibly around 4500. Not sure on this, you know how rumours go.

well I saw 3900 something last weekend. I'm still saying they will stop at 4444 in honor of #444

I read that they made it 6000 before scheduling forced them to shut down 2001 production and commence 2002, so they can have enough dealer inventory for the model year introduction. If true, 500 potential Bullitt owners-in-waiting will be disappointed.

I have #4003 and it was built on July 18th. DAP can build about 30 to 60 Bullitts per day (both shifts combined). If there are orders to support, they should be building at least #4500 by now, maybe #5000.

Our dealership will receive 2 DHG's on 8/13 (next week) and 2 more DHG's on 8/27. I'll post their Bullitt ID #'s so that you know a rough idea how many have been built.

Also, we have a VIN for a black Bullitt that hasn't been built yet, but should be during the last week of August and delivered to us by mid-September. I'll post it's # also, as it should be one of the last Bullitt's built. 2001 Mustang production runs a month deeper than other 2001 Fords and will end on 8/31/01.

I truly believe we'll see more than 6,000 built and might actually hit the 6,500 target.
