Got a roll of that clear film for protecting body areas from rock chips. Cut film to shape of splash guard, staying just inside of the edge, clean off area and carefully put into place......DONE!

I would think that that protection tape would be too thin to protect from rock chips. That is why we used cut-outs from a regular mud flap cut to size the Bullitt's and stuck velcro to the backs.

beg to differ?

Vicki, you stuck Velcro tape to the splash guard? The Green one? Doesn't that look kinda........ugly if you take the protector guard off?

Does anyone know if there is a place that sells this stuff online (the 8 Mil plastic stuff). I haven't ran across it at a local store yet.. I wonder if Pep Boys has it.

Hey Mike, here's three differnt film kits i've found on here but not sure if they sell it other than packages for the cars. I can't remember which one it is, but one of them has installation sites in Fairfield and Cincy, another has one in Newark.

I'm have to go to Illinois in July to my cousing wedding, so i'm thinking of taking the BULLITT and want to get the front end protected before i take off. haven't decided yet which one i'm going with. i'm going to check with the local detail shops to see which one they recommend.

you can NOT "hate the other colors" as the are personal preference but more importantly they are still Bullitts!!!!
to a LOT of us, DHG was the coolest color if for no other reason than the Mustang in the movie was dark green. but the guys who got Black and True Blue love their cars and colors just as much as we do. the pics i've seen here are pretty cool too!
yes, i like DHG the best but we are all members of the Bullitt fraternity

I just grabbed the 99 Mustang GT package. The front end of the car is essentially the same, just no foglights.....so don't worry about looking for a specific Bullitt kit.

Sorry for not responding sooner guys. I ordered the deluxe 99 GT kit, the front end of the car has not changed since 99 and the bullitt is the same as the GT. I am taking pics tonight and will post them here and at blue oval news.
