Has anyone on here installed a air/fuel ratio gauge? If so where did you hook up the O2 sensor wire? Autometer recomends hooking it directly into the computer. Seems like splicing into the sensor wire between the ECU and the O2 connector would be much easier. Anybody have any tips??

I have one on my carbed 85 LX. I would think that would be the way to go,but there could be some signal loss maybe,I can't say for sure. You could make a test by taking a digital Volt meter, set on Mv scale. Tap into line, without A/F gauge hooked up,get car up to normal operating temp, and get a voltage reading at idle. Then, hook up gauge, and retest during same as before, and compare the volt reading. A typical volt reading could be in the .700 range. The gauge I used,Nordskog, works extremly well and is very accurate.
