Just curious to the ratio of HDG. versus Black. I found a dealer with 1 HDG. and 1 blk. The hdg. had the $2000.00 nav. system, THE blk, $2000. of useable options, [hid, security system, and the 1000 watt kicker] so I made my choice by options that the car came with.

A hearty welcome to IMBOC, vader! :)

Based on the information that has been assembled in the IMBOC 2008/2009 Bullitt Registry, as of right now (30APR08 @ 2039) it appears that about 88% of the new generation Bullitts are Highland Green and about 12% are Black. I did the math percentages in my head so it may be off a bit. :nerd:

Maybe he did say that! But as much as I admire the Man and his Machine, I don't care for all black cars. Or for that matter, all cars being black. I'm glad you like them. Someone has to buy them...

When I was 21 years old, I got a job tending bar at a very classy restaurant. I was taught to tend by a gentleman about fifty years old. One night, a customer bragged to the people in his party that he could guess, within five years, the age of the bartender by the martini he made. After delivering his drink, I was told that he said I was at least fifty five years old. The answer was in what the gentleman understood to be a good martini; as they were made when he was young. The Bullitt is kind of the same way. If you are old enough to have driven, or as I did, own a Highland Green '68 GT when the movie came out, then green is the ONLY color for a Bullitt. If, however, you don't have a similar attachment to that '68 GT, then black is an awesome choice. Frankly, I'd be much more apt to modify my Bullitt if it were not green! By the way, back in '68, the color was called Moss Green. Somewhere along the line, it got changed to Dark Highland Green. The Moss Green was actually a bit lighter than the current DHG. Either way, it's a *****in' car-have a blast!!

Agreed 100%

While my Bullitt had to be green, I think they look absolutely wicked in Black, especially at night.

If said it before, if I could afford it, I would buy a second Bullitt - in Black - and mod the ever loving crap out of it ;)
