Has anyone used the aluminum 17X4 Bullitt/Cobra spare wheel as a front runner for race use only? A 205X50X17 tire could fit well and are cheap at $58.00 a piece.
I compared the wheel construction to a pair of 15X4 T-Bird SC spares,I used to run many years ago on my 85 with great success. The T-Bird wheels, are machine turned from a solid piece of aluminum and appear to be a bit thicker in the mounting flange area, than the two piece welded center Bullitt wheel. I was concerned about any possible pulling thru of the lug nuts,at speed or wheel center failure.
