In a bold challenge to southern Arizona charities to collectively raise one million dollars, auto dealer Jim Click has announced that he will personally present a limited edition 2008 Ford Mustang to the lucky winner of a raffle for which he challenges all local charities to sell tickets.

Press Release

(TUCSON, Ariz.) --- Click plans to issue a total of 50,000 tickets to participating organizations, free of charge, which will keep 100 percent of all funds they ultimately raise to support their local services and programs. Tickets are $25.00 each, or five for $100.00.

Click launched the campaign earlier this month with a personal invitation to nearly 200 local charities to participate. Raffle tickets are now being issued to eligible organizations, approved as 501(c)(3) entities by the Internal Revenue Service, which are encouraged to sell as many tickets as possible before the February 11, 2008 deadline. Since the campaign launched on September 4, Click has provided more than 10,000 raffle tickets to local charities.

Throughout the campaign, Click has pledged to provide participating organizations with creative tips and techniques for increasing ticket sales, and plans to issue a series of challenges among the charities to encourage spirited competition.

“Tucson is home to so many organizations that make a significant difference in people’s lives each and every day,” Click says, “and this effort is our way of helping them to raise the funds they need to continue their important work."

The raffle prize to be donated by Click is a limited edition 2008 Ford Mustang Bullitt, which is scheduled to arrive in Tucson in December.

Eligible non-profit organizations wishing to participate in the fundraising campaign can make arrangements to pick up their tickets by calling (520) 762-4279, or by e-mail at [email protected].

My mistake...I just remembered that the numbers do go higher than 5582, even though they only produced 5582.
